Sweet Onion microgreens are packed with vitamins such a A, B, C, and E.  They are rich in calcium, iron, zinc phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, and amino acids, along with other bioactive compounds such as ascorbic acid, tocopherol, carotenoids, folate, and glucosinates.

Microgreens have been found in studies to have anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, and anti-hyperglycemic properties, making them beneficial for human health.

Please note that while microgreens have many potential health benefits, it is essential to consume them as part of a balanced diet and not rely on them as the sole treatment for any medical conditions. Always consult with your primary healthcare professional before making any changes to your diet.

Onion microgreens have a mild, slightly sweet onion flavor and a garlic aftertaste, especially if the seed husks are on the microgreens.  We leave the seed husks on our soil-grown microgreens for added flavor.  The husks are edible!

To help your shoots get their longest shelf life, store your microgreens in a dry, cool place. Wash them just before eating. Storing them in a resealable bag or container with a lid works well. Add a paper towel if needed to remove water. Do not store them wet.  Your microgreens should store for 7-14 days in the refrigerator.  Many find these greens stay fresh for up to 30 days!
